When in our branches

When you are visiting an IMB branch, you will notice our teams will still be using some COVID-safe working practices, including:

  • Social distancing of a minimum of 1.5m
  • Wearing face masks when in enclosed rooms for meetings (members participating in the meetings will be asked to wear a mask also; a mask will be provided)
  • Wearing protective gloves
  • Using and providing hand sanitiser for customers to use

While we love seeing you in person, we recommend taking advantage of our online, mobile and telephone services. There are convenient ways you can bank with us without having to come into a branch. You can find out more about the many ways to bank with us here.

 

Branch open hours will vary

We are experiencing some staff shortages due to COVID-related reasons. As a result, some branches will need to close for short periods at certain times of the day and branch signage will indicate the re-opening time.

For the safety of members and staff, branches may also close for longer periods, as we manage potential COVID-19 exposures.

We apologise for any inconvenience these closures cause and are working to keep these to a minimum.

Please note, should your branch be closed, our Contact Centre is open from 8am to 8pm, Monday to Friday, and 9am to 4pm on Saturday if you need to speak to an IMB team member. Simply call 133 462.

Vincentia branch closed for today

Due to COVID, we are experiencing team resourcing issues with our Vincentia branch, which is closed for the remainder of Friday, 1 April. We expect the branch to open as normal on Monday 4 April, but will update this page if there are any changes. Thank you for your understanding.

Glendale branch closed for renovation

Our Glendale branch will close for renovation on Monday 28 March and reopen on Monday 11 April with a whole new look. If you need to speak with our team in person, the nearest open branch is in Charlestown Shopping Centre. Plus, you can find any of our branches here, or our contact centre team are on hand to help on 133 462. Thanks for your understanding.

 

19 & 20 March 2022

Scheduled maintenance on Internet Banking and other services 

We will be conducting planned maintenance on the mornings of Saturday 19 March and Sunday 20 March, between 5.30am and 7.30am on both days. The following services will be unavailable during these times: Internet Banking, Open Banking Data Sharing, Phone Banking, the IMB Mobile App, Osko® payments, and online applications for Personal Loans and Deposit Accounts. Further, members may also experience intermittent service outages with EFTPOS and ATM transactions between 5.30am and 6.30am. Cronulla Branch closed Jan 6

Our Cronulla Branch will be closed today, 6 January, and reopen tomorrow 7 January at 9am. If you visited the Cronulla Branch yesterday, Wednesday January 5, please monitor for COVID symptoms and follow the NSW Health guidelines for next steps.

ACT Branch capacity limits

Due to regulations in place in the ACT, our Canberra branches are limited to 1 person per 2 square metres and maximum capacities for each branch will be indicated.    

Branch open hours will vary

All other IMB branches are open, but we are experiencing some staff shortages due to COVID- related reasons.

As a result, some branches will need to close for short periods at certain times of the day (usually around lunchtime) and branch signage will indicate the re-opening time.

We apologise for any inconvenience these closures cause and are working to keep these to a minimum.

Please note, should your branch be closed, our Contact Centre is open from 8am to 8pm, Monday to Friday, and 9am to 4pm on Saturday if you need to speak to an IMB team member.

Menai Branch

IMB Menai branch is closed today, Wednesday 8 December, for deep cleaning after a confirmed COVID-19 case visited the branch on Monday 6 December. If you were in the Menai branch between 9:30am and 5pm on Monday, please monitor for symptoms and get tested should symptoms develop.

Corrimal Branch

Our Corrimal branch is closed today, Wednesday October 27, for deep cleaning after a confirmed COVID-19 case visited the branch on Monday October 25. If you were in the Corrimal branch between 9am and 5pm on Monday, please get tested immediately and isolate until a negative result is received.

Unanderra Branch

Our Unanderra branch has been identified as a COVID-19 venue of concern by NSW Health. Anyone who visited the branch on Tuesday, 28 September between 11.15am and 11.25am should get tested and isolate immediately until a negative result is received.

The branch has been deep cleaned and is open.

The branch is closed until further notice for deep cleaning and to allow our teams to isolate while they await their test results.

IMB Wynyard branch closed Monday 28 June 2021

Following the tightened restrictions introduced by NSW Health in the Sydney CBD, our Hunter St branch will be closed on Monday, June 28 for the wellbeing of our customers and team. We will update you as the situation changes.

All other branches remain open and will be following COVID-safe protocols.

As the situation in NSW continues to evolve, our team is still ready to assist you. We will be following best practices as laid out by the NSW Government and health authorities.

Impacted areas

Our branches in the Sydney (including Picton), Wollongong and Shellharbour areas are all in the impacted areas and will be serving new customers and members under the conditions listed below.

In our branches

All of our branches are currently open in each of their usual operating hours, Monday to Friday.

Reduced branch capacity

As per the new mandated guidelines, each of our branches will have a reduced capacity. This number will be clearly displayed at the front of each branch. We appreciate your patience during busier periods.

Masks

It is mandatory that masks be worn in our branches in impacted regions, by both our team members and our customers. Masks are also to be worn in our Melbourne branch as per current Victoria guidelines.

If you do not have a mask, please ask a member of the IMB team and we will provide one for you.

Hand Sanitiser

Is available to all our customers when in our branches.

Branch updates

Narooma Plaza Branch Opening

Now Open

The temporary IMB Bank branch in Narooma Plaza (the ex-Millers store unit) is now open for business! We greatly appreciate the patience of our members.

Our new branch is temporary for now and as such will open as a cashless branch. The branch is staffed by familiar, friendly faces and open to all enquiries and digital banking solutions.

For those that need fast cash, there are a number of ATMs in the Plaza and many now don’t charge an ATM withdrawal fee (if there is any charge it will be advised at the start of the transaction).

Our staff can also provide you with a Cashcard if you don’t already have one, which in turn will allow you to perform cash transactions at the Post Office if you don’t want to travel to one of our other nearby branches.
