Volunteer Marine Rescue NSW

Marine Rescue Narooma has been broadcasting weather updates four times daily since1910. However, the old weather station was recently retired, and the Bureau of Meteorology's Montague Island station hasn't provided wind conditions for some time. The Bureau will only fund specified equipment, and to continue providing accurate weather data to the BOM, the public, mariners, and ABC radio, a more capable system designed for coastal environments will be purchased using Foundation funding.
