Since 2011, the Victor Chang Heart Health Check has brought free, 10-minute screenings to metropolitan and regional communities across NSW. Specialists measure blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar, then explain results and recommend follow-up where needed. More than 7,300 people have been screened through the partnership, with high cholesterol identified in nearly 30% of participants—giving people an opportunity to act early. Continued support from the Foundation will extend Heart Health Heroes to more communities and help screening reach up to 8,000 people by the end of 2027. By making preventive checks accessible, the program supports earlier action and care.
