A safer workshop begins by removing hazards before work starts. Tuggeranong Men’s Shed will replace its corded power tools with cordless models, reducing trailing leads and trip risks while giving members greater flexibility around benches and project sites. The upgrade will support members completing woodworking, repairs and practical projects for community organisations and people experiencing disadvantage. Funding from the Foundation will purchase battery-powered equipment, helping members work safely and efficiently inside and beyond the Shed. By improving access to portable tools, the project will strengthen volunteering, maintain members’ confidence and enable the Shed to continue providing assistance across the Tuggeranong community.
