Skin Check Champions

Skin Check Champions’ South Coast Community Skin Check Access Program will expand free early detection services across the Illawarra and Shoalhaven. A 2026 IMB Bank Community Foundation grant will support recurring nurse-led clinics, risk assessments, referral pathways and follow-up care for communities facing barriers to skin cancer screening. By bringing accessible checks closer to high-risk and under-served residents, the program aims to identify suspicious lesions earlier and encourage timely treatment. Building on Skin Check Champions’ proven community model, the initiative will strengthen awareness, improve access to potentially life-saving screening and help reduce preventable skin cancer harm across the South Coast region.
