Twice each week, Safe Waters Community Care’s kitchen brings volunteers and shelter guests together to prepare more than 80 meals for people experiencing homelessness and hardship around Ulladulla. The shared work provides nourishing food while creating opportunities to learn practical skills, build confidence and connect without judgement. An IMB Bank Community Foundation grant will upgrade the shelter kitchen, improving safety, efficiency and capacity for cooking, storage and cleaning. Better facilities will help volunteers sustain the meal program and support guests with dignity. In turn, the project will strengthen local food security, social connection and wellbeing across the wider community network.
