Shellharbour Hospital Emergency Department will replace its old C-MAC laryngoscope with a new machine due to unavailability of parts. The C-MAC is crucial for intubating patients' airways for ventilation, allowing visualisation of airways and vocal cords. The new model features disposable blades, reducing sterilisation workload and improving patient handling efficiency.
