Richmond Community Services’ STRONG program helps Hawkesbury residents prepare for emergencies and recover with greater confidence. Through practical education, community connections and locally relevant resources, participants build the knowledge and skills to understand risks, make plans and respond safely when disasters occur. The IMB Bank Community Foundation grant will support accessible preparedness activities that strengthen individual capability and encourage neighbours to work together. By increasing readiness before an emergency, the project will help families reduce disruption, support community members who may need additional assistance and contribute to a safer, more connected and resilient Hawkesbury community through future emergencies and recovery.
