Morris Children’s Fund’s Music Therapy for Children at Special Needs Schools program helps children, including many who are non-verbal, strengthen social and communication skills through singing, instrument play and shared musical activities. Guided by music therapists, students practise eye contact, turn-taking and self-expression in ways that feel natural to them. The program creates opportunities for creativity, connection and active participation, building confidence and bringing joy to the school day. By enabling every child to engage, communicate and shine in their own way, it fosters belonging and a lasting enthusiasm for learning and life within supportive, inclusive school communities nationwide.
