Merimbula NSW Rural Fire Service

Merimbula Rural Fire Brigade’s volunteers respond to bush and grass fires, structure fires, road accidents, floods, storms and searches across the Far South Coast. Reliable communication is critical to keeping crews safe, sharing information and coordinating effective responses in fast-changing emergencies. The IMB Bank Community Foundation grant will fund additional radios for the brigade, helping volunteers remain connected with one another and supporting agencies when protecting residents, properties and visitors. The upgraded equipment will strengthen operational readiness, reduce communication gaps and help crews make decisions, so they can respond quickly, work safely and continue serving the Merimbula community with confidence.
