Illawarra Wig Library

Support for Women with Medical-Related Hair Loss

The Illawarra Wig Library addresses the needs of women in the Illawarra and South Coast experiencing hair loss due to medical conditions, primarily Cancer and Alopecia. Operated by dedicated volunteers, the library recently reopened at Wollongong Hospital accompanied by an increase in demand. With Foundation support, the library will provide a further 20 wigs and 20 turbans for women dealing with the challenges of medical-related hair loss.
