Footscape’s Foot Care Kits project provides podiatry-endorsed material aid to people experiencing homelessness, people seeking asylum, First Nations people and others facing disadvantage. Poor-quality footwear, inadequate socks and the need to walk long distances can worsen painful foot conditions and limit mobility, wellbeing and participation. IMB Bank Community Foundation funding will support the purchase and distribution of practical foot care kits through Footscape’s network of affiliated podiatrists, health professionals and welfare organisations. Since 2009, the volunteer-powered charity has distributed more than 7,000 kits, along with shoes, socks and orthotic devices, helping recipients protect their feet, remain active and access support with dignity and confidence.
