Community First Responders Foundation’s Shock Stations program establishes community cardiac arrest response teams equipped to act while an ambulance is on the way. Volunteers receive high-quality CPR, defibrillation and triage training, then join coordinated GoodSAM responder groups that can be alerted following a 000 call for suspected cardiac arrest. The project will place four publicly accessible defibrillators in suitable community locations and register them with ambulance services. By combining trained local responders, accessible equipment and a readiness model, the initiative aims to strengthen community resilience and improve survival opportunities, particularly in communities facing barriers to emergency care.
