Across Bungonia Village Park, existing storyboards trace the community’s post-European-settlement history. Bungonia Park Land Manager’s Aboriginal History Public Storyboards project will broaden that account by recognising the area’s 20,000 to 30,000 years of Aboriginal history, culture and heritage. Two freestanding installations will present four faces of carefully designed images and text. An IMB Bank Community Foundation grant will help bring these stories into the heart of the village, creating an accessible learning experience for residents, visitors and school groups. Complementing the established heritage trail, the storyboards will encourage deeper understanding, respect and appreciation of Bungonia’s enduring cultural landscape for all.
