Bowning Rural Fire Brigade’s Firefighter Capability Upgrade will strengthen practical training, equipment maintenance and operational readiness for volunteers. An IMB Bank Community Foundation grant will purchase three purpose-built items: a training door prop for practising forcible-entry techniques, a portable workshop bench for safer, more efficient repairs, and a hose washing machine to clean firefighting hoses after incidents. Together, the equipment will help members develop and maintain essential skills, keep gear serviceable and improve safety at the station and on the fireground. The upgrade supports the NSW RFS commitment to prepared volunteers who can respond when emergencies threaten Bowning and surrounding communities.
