This Rural Fire Service project will boost firefighter readiness and community safety, with the purchase of eight deployment ‘go bags’ and eight heavy trauma first aid kits for frontline volunteers. Foundation funding will also be used to purchase a commercial stainless steel BBQ and preparation bench, which will support community fire safety outreach events like Soup Night and Get Ready Weekend. This mix of operational gear and engagement tools will help ensure the crew is well-equipped and connected with the local community.
