At least 1 in 70 Australian children are diagnosed with autism. Many children who commence withAEIOU are nonverbal, lacking the skills and techniques required to communicate with their families and peers. Funding will purchase a shade sail, classroom furniture, IT material – including iPads and autism-specific communication apps – to equip a new classroom at AEIOU Canberra.
