IMB is pleased to announce that Mr Harry Wendt has joined the Board of IMB and its subsidiaries, following a successful Non-Executive Director recruitment search. Mr Wendt is appointed to fill the casual vacancy arising following the retirement of James Coleman, who has served on the Board since 2012.
Mr Wendt (BSc (CompSc), MSc (Astronomy), PhD, GAICD) joins IMB Bank following an extensive career in financial services, with expertise in strategy development and execution, technology systems, data and cybersecurity and banking operations (including contact centres and ATM networks).
Mr Wendt held various senior executive roles including Chief Technology Officer and General Manager – Digital, with Westpac Banking Corporation before moving into a non-executive director career with Assembly Payments, a fintech company creating payment solutions that enable marketplaces, platforms and banks to provide superior online payment experiences.

Mr Wendt will stand for re-appointment by members at the 2020 IMB Annual General Meeting of members.
