You may be eligible to opt out of the COP Service. If you are eligible, your account name and result of the name check will not be shared with the person trying to pay you. This may affect whether that person chooses to proceed with the payment.
If your request to opt out is successful, your details will not be shared during COP checks. This opt out status will not apply when payments are made to you by government agencies, such as welfare, emergency payments or child support payments.

If you do opt out, you can choose to opt back in at any time.
