Financial Hardship Assistance

We understand that the impact of the bushfires could affect you financially. Our Disaster Relief Package has been designed to support you if you have been directly impacted by the bushfire emergency.

If you have been affected and need help, please visit your nearest branch OR call 133 462 and speak with our team to discuss your situation, and how we can help.

Assistance we may offer you

  • Restructuring of loans and suspending payments for a period of time.
  • Waiving of all transaction fees for up to three months
  • Waiving of debit card replacement fees
  • Waiving of costs related to breaking term deposits
  • Waiving of dishonour fees
  • Relief to IMB Mastercard credit card holders (given on a case-by-case basis). We will endeavour to provide tailored, ongoing solutions as needed. Contact ‘Card Services’ via 1300 369 092 or login here.

How to make an insurance claim

If you have Vero insurance through IMB, you can make a claim by calling 1800 132 223 or emailing lodgeclaim@vero.com.au. Keeping you informed with regular updates, Vero is committed to responding in an efficient, professional and practical way, and in a compassionate manner.

 

Vero Response Team Locations

For customers insured with Vero through IMB, Vero response teams are at the following locations this week to assist you with your insurance claim:

Information that will assist when making a Home & Contents claim:

  • Policy number

  • Full name and contact details (as per policy)

  • ABN if you are registered for GST

  • BSB and Account details to enable fast settlement of your claim (where applicable)

  • Detailed description of the loss or damage

  • Location of the loss or damage

Additional information that may assist with a Motor Vehicle claim:

  • Make, model and registration of the vehicle
  • Driver’s name and date of birth

Vero may be able to help with:

  • Arranging make-safe repairs
  • Organising temporary accommodation (if your home is unliveable)
  • Issuing emergency payments (if applicable)

Government financial assistance

If you’ve been impacted by the recent Australian bushfires you may also be able to claim Government financial assistance.

Bushfire Disaster Appeal

IMB Bank today announced immediate support for bushfire-ravaged communities on the NSW South Coast and Southern Highlands through a $100,000 contribution from the IMB Bank Community Foundation, pledging $50,000 to the Vinnies Bushfire Appeal and $50,000 to community groups on the South Coast of NSW.

Apply for an IMB Bank Community Foundation Grant

A further $50,000 has been allocated for community projects by not-for-profit groups in the bushfire affected regions through the IMB Bank Community Foundation 2020 grants. Grant applications close February 28th, 2020, so if you are part of a not-for-profit or charity group that requires funding for a project that makes meaningful, ongoing grassroots change in your community, find out whether you qualify and apply today.
