IMB is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Jan Swinhoe as a non-executive director to the Board of IMB and its subsidiaries. Ms Swinhoe joins the Board to fill the vacancy arising from the retirement of Mr Lynton Nicholas who leaves the Board after 10 years of outstanding service.
Ms Swinhoe has had an extensive career in the financial services sector in a career that spanned corporate superannuation, derivatives trading, capital markets origination and institutional relationship banking. The last sixteen years of her executive career were spent at Westpac where she held General Management positions within the Institutional Bank and also BT Financial Group where she led Westpac’s Private Bank.
Ms Swinhoe is currently a Director of Suncorp Portfolio Services Limited, Mercer Superannuation Australia Limited, Mercer Investments Australia Limited, Athletics Australia and Australian Philanthropic Services.
The Board welcomes Ms Swinhoe’s extensive industry knowledge and her depth of experience in the areas of risk and governance which are a key area of focus for IMB’s regulator. Ms Swinhoe also has a strong interest and background in philanthropy which will complement the objectives of the IMB Community Foundation. IMB looks forward to Ms Swinhoe’s valuable contribution as a director of IMB.
The Board would also like to thank Lynton Nicholas for his contribution to IMB over the last 10 years. Lynton was a member of a number of Board Committees and was Chairman of the Board Audit and Risk Committee since 2007. Lynton was also the Chairman of the IMB Community Foundation Committee since 2007 – a position he filled with dedication and enthusiasm. Lynton will continue his involvement with the Community Foundation as a community representative.
