Helping communities thrive


Since 1999, the IMB Bank Community Foundation has donated over $11million dollars to more than 800 community projects that make genuine, enduring, positive contributions to our communities. We focus on the places we call home, from the NSW South Coast to the Hunter Valley, the Illawarra, Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands to Metropolitan Sydney and Melbourne. 


What kind of projects do we support?
 

The projects we have funded over the years are similar only in their diversity. From funding vehicles and kitchens to groups offer a helping hand to the homeless and vulnerable, to ensuring disadvantaged kids get basic medical care and can learned to surf, to teaching people to grow their own veggies (and a free garden bed) or refugee women how to ride a bicycle (and take one home for free), the IMB Bank Community Foundation addresses local needs in each community. We are inspired by local people who give their time and energy to make their communities better, more sustainable places and enhance the lives of the people who live there.

 

We have funded and consider projects that:

  • Help communities recover from hardship
  • Elevate our communities
  • Provide comfort and care for the vulnerable
  • Teach skills and therapies to those who need, and
  • Keep our communities safe


Big and Small

These projects have been as large as delivering free heart health checks to 6000 people across NSW or as small as providing the people of the Pambula Wetlands materials about local bird life.
